Brockman named as one of the most influential healthcare leaders

March 19, 2008 - Louisville Eye surgeon Dr. E. Britt Brockman, managing partner of John-Kenyon American Eye Institute, has been named one of the most influential leaders in the region by Business First of Louisville.
Brockman received the award this week as part of Business First's third annual "Partners in Healthcare" program and publication. Business First, the region's premier business news publication, honored 160 of the most prominent leaders in the Louisville health care community. Honorees were selected from leaders of area hospitals and educational institutions, professional firms with a focus on health care business, physicians groups and leaders of firms that provide ancillary health care services.
Brockman is a cataract, glaucoma and refractive surgery specialist and also offers broad expertise in other ophthalmic medical and surgical procedures. Besides practicing in Louisville, New Albany, Ind., and Jeffersonville, Ind., he travels more than 30,000 miles each year to bring top-notch medical eye care and surgery throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
Brockman earned degrees from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy and the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He interned at U of L, followed by a four-year residency at Louisiana State University, serving as chief resident his final two years. He is a graduate of LaRue County High School.
